1 loaf of bread baking
2 loads of laundry washed and hung
3 lunches packed
4 quarts of fresh-from-the-garden tomatoes canned (yes, all by myself!)
5 pages of "William Wilson" read (yeah, not terribly impressive, but I couldn't think of anything else I'd done 5 of...and somehow it just seemed like there should be a 5)
Amazing what can be accomplished when one stays off the computer for a few hours. ;) Anyway, I've decided that I've earned myself an hour of working in my creative space before getting back to cleaning the kitchen. Yes, at this point, the old creative space needs many hours of loving care to get it cleaned up and useable again...but that's okay, it's fun just to be in there and I find ideas just begin flowing. (Note to self: Take the time to write those ideas down in inspiration notebook! You *know* you never remember those ideas later when you don't!) (Another note to self: Take some before pictures.) Thank you to my dear friend Chris for inspiring me...seriously, Chris--thank you!
I think Chris needs to pop over and inspire me. I have the holiday blues which are causing severe procrastination. Glad to see you are very busy though. Might need to give myelf a big push.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend is taking the shape of a dirty house, so I can sympathize with needing to get a great deal done. Hurrah for a successful day for you!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo, you go girl! I am seriously impressed. And inspired myself! Too bad I'm at work and can't do anything at home. By the time I do get there, I 'spect I'll be too tired! :( I need to read this again tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Chris awesome?! Yay Chris!
You have that backwards, Debi! Thank YOU for inspiring ME!! You're the one that made the deal with me to start crafting :D And I just love this post! What kind of bread did you make? Was it the yummy italian herb bread?? I never did get that recipe from you! I need to get it from you sometime. And I love that you canned your own tomatoes!!!!!! And so many of them :D
